Torn between her passion for two different careers, Laurie Suchanek, found a way to live her dream and balance both. Laurie loves to help others and is motivated by seeing the results of positive change whether it’s shaping your eyebrows or your abs.
At age 23, while completing her Make-up Artist Diploma at Blanche MacDonald, Laurie was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a life threatening skin cancer. This motivated her to live a healthier lifestyle, take care of her skin, use environmentally clean products, eat clean, and exercise. Laurie has been cancer free over 10 years, against the odds presented to her by the cancer clinic. She hired a Personal Trainer named Sam Noh, who saw her passion and desire for fitness and encouraged her to enter into the field of Personal Training. At age 30, she became a Registered BCRPA Personal Trainer, and at the same time, entered into the sport of competitive Bodybuilding, placing at a National Level in her first year.
As both a Make-up Artist and Personal Trainer she listens to her clients’ needs and helps them to see their potential, improve their self-confidence and outlook on life. Laurie has many years of experience working with models and photographers, thus she understands the expectations and needs of her clients. With her caring, confident and creative style, clients can trust they are in good hands, whether she is applying a special look for a photo shoot, or leading them through a life long journey of healthy changes.
